Jaguar Van Nuys, serving Los Angeles and the rest of Southern California, is excited to announce a new direction for Jaguar, which wants to shift from a car company that emphasizes luxury to a luxury company that produces cars. From now on, the brand will only produce electric vehicles.
Going All-Electric
Although the brand previously announced that the 2025 model year would be the last for conventional gasoline engines, early 2026 sees the launch of the 2026 Jaguar F-Pace, motivated by a 246-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder or a 395-horsepower 3.0-liter inline-six. Otherwise, three new EVs are debuting.
- Grand Tourer, or GT, with a range of up to 430 EPA-estimated miles.
- Two new electric SUVs.
Sharing Features
While each of these new offerings has distinct advantages, they share the following features:
- Jaguar Electric Architecture allows for unique motors and batteries, advancing the brandās goals of sustainability and innovation.
- Dual/tri-motor high-performance powertrains with instant torque and fast-charging up to 350 kW.
- Digital interiors that show off floating consoles, panoramic displays, and ambient lighting.
- Advanced driver assists that include predictive navigation and highway automation.
- Luxury materials like bespoke trims, recycled leather, and open-pore woods can contribute to highly personalized vehicles.
Jaguar Type 00
Although not a production model, the Jaguar Type 00 concept is a two-door coupe that informs many of the details that will appear on the 2026 electric models, especially the Grand Tourer. The nomenclature has one zero referring to the lack of tailpipe emissions, while the second zero represents the starting point of the companyās rebirth.
The flawlessly smooth body reveals a fastback roofline and long hood with sharp lines, hard edges, and a rectangular grille that repeats a design theme called āstrikethrough.ā Only two slits, the LED headlamps, interrupt the monolithic front.
The side view shows off 23-inch wheels and a rectangular brass trim called the āingot,ā which conceals rear-facing cameras that replace side mirrors. No window appears in the rear, which only sports two thin taillights. On top, a panoramic glass panel exhibits a glazed strikethrough finish.
Rising doors welcome you into a stark interior that is bisected by a 10.5-foot brass frame down the middle. Screens on either side of this spine disappear into the dashboard to free you from digital dependence. A cubby on the driverās side accepts physical ātotemsā that define your drive mode, changing features such as ambient lighting, screen graphics, soundscapes, and scents.
